I'm not necessarily surprised, but ... wow. Sad. You'd really think logically with most of the adults in the US having access and using the internet (I saw a study saying something around 70% recently) people would take the opportunity to learn more.

Well, when most of what we call news is either footage of some tragedy or crime or other and the rest is filled with celebrity gossip, it just figures, doesn't it? To most people, current events are the fire on the other side of town, the latest sting on all those billions and billions of internet stalkers, and some good-looking famous person's personal life. And all that's just to sell advertising time, not to actually inform anyone about anything. LOL!
